This mindfulness-based approach to well being is designed for people who are interested in promoting healthy living, renewal, and balance in day-to-day life through being in nature and practicing mindfulness.


Grounded in the wisdom of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR), these healthy, outdoor activities are a chance to be present to the organization & flow of conscious awareness enhanced by mindfulness, gentle yoga postures, qigong, and walking.  A special opportunity for self-observation as well as lightheartedness & fun!

James Mitchell, Ph.D. is a psychologist, a lifelong nature enthusiast, and certified in Wilderness First Aid/CPR.  He teaches Stress Reduction at the University of California in San Francisco and is faculty in the School of Nursing at Samuel Merritt University and in the Department of Mind/Body Medicine at Saybrook University.
